23Red Racing enters Supercars this year, built from what has been Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport since 2010 and in 2018, 23Red will now run the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge driven by 18-year-old Luis Leeds, who has returned to Australia after two years in junior open-wheel racing in Europe.

The Porsche equivalent of the Dunlop Super2 Series, GT3 Cup runs on the Shannons Nationals program, making it a relatively simple addition for 23Red.

Phil Munday has purchased a 60 percent stake in the squad, which scales back from two cars to one, switches from Holden to Ford, welcomes Will Davison and moves into a new workshop in outer Melbourne.

Two-time Bathurst winner Davison arrives from Tekno Autosports to race the Tickford Racing-built FG X Falcon that won last year’s Sandown 500.

The vastly-experienced Rob Crawford, a long-time Holden Racing Team manager, will lead the operation that has set high hopes.
