LUIS' CLASS SECURES SECOND AT SURFERS

Fresh from a stint in the German F4 series Luis brought a new level of class to secure second on the podium for the 5th round of the Australian F4 championships at Surfers Paradise, with continuous participation in top five battle.

“I think this round has been my best so far this year, I have been consistently as quick as Lloyd and Randle,” Leeds said.

Starting from fourth in the final race after a two-place grid penalty, Leeds chased down Lloyd in the final laps before running through the chicane, forcing him to sit back to avoid further penalty.

“I was just sitting behind Lloyd, it was really tough to pass because he was equally as fast,” Leeds continued.

On the final corner Leeds regrouped making a legendary final corner pass and a sprint for the finish line after a gear change error from Lloyd.

“Something must have happened on that last corner because I managed to sneak around the outside of him, I was right up against the wall I didn’t have much space, but that’s what racing is all about”

Luis' DREAM Motorsport team mate Thomas Randle secured victory in all three races.

Will Brown landed his second Burson Auto Parts Rookie of the Round Medal for his outstanding performance throughout the round.

Luis' stunning performances now see him move to third in the Australian F4 championships with 2 rounds remaining.
