LEEDS SET FOR QUALIFYING AFTER PRACTICE 2 AT HOMEBUSH

Preston Hire driver Luis Leeds has posted the 5th fastest time, moving up the leader board from 8th spot earlier in the day - following practice on day 1 of Round 7 of the CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship.

Leeds' Dream Motorsport team mate Thomas Randle has continued his quick form setting the quickest time in the closing practice session.

The TRAVISTY driver posted the fastest time of 1:34.5054, three-tenths fastest than current Australian Formula 4 Champion Jordan Lloyd.

South Australian Frankie Maiolo posted the third quickest time, setting a personal best for the Team BRM driver.

Rookie racer Harry Hayek slotted into fourth with Leeds only fractions of a second behind.

Famous Insurance’s Nick Rowe was sixth, followed by Will Brown, Tom Grech, Zane Goddard and Jimmy Vernon rounding out the top ten.

Jayco Dealer Team’s Caitlin Wood was 11th, ahead of debutant Nick Filipetto.

The drivers will head out tomorrow morning for Qualifying at 8:45 (AEDT).
