#26 Luis Leeds (AUS – Arden Mygale-Ford)
British Formula 4: 5th – 111 points – after 12 of 30 races
Australian 16-year-old Luis Leeds is ready for the fifth round of the British F4 championship run this weekend at Croft. The Red Bull Junior is determined to put behind the frustrations of Oulton Park where a suspension issue wrecked the weekend.
"That was just one of those things, it isn't going to happen again," asserted Leeds. "We had two days of testing at Croft a few weeks ago and we were fast enough then, it is just a case of putting that into action this weekend."
"I like the circuit, it's my first race weekend of course but for me it's a driver's track. It's got the first high speed corner, the mid speed section and then the technical section at the end with the slowest corner leading to the start and finish straight, plenty of opportunities for overtaking so even if qualifying doesn't go perfectly you've probably got a chance as long as you are in the top eight."
"We've had a lot of very different tracks this year, it's all interesting. It is pretty much a right hand track and the inside tyres don't get much work."
Just get it right
"We've not changed anything since Oulton, there was no need to, the speed was there and we'd just done the Croft test so no need to make changes, just go there and do a good job. I'm ready."
