#26 Luis Leeds (AUS – Arden Mygale-Ford)
British F4: 2nd – 107 points after 9 of 30 races

Australian 16-year-old Luis Leeds has been to Oulton Park before but is hoping for something better than the 2 degrees and rain that welcomed him to his first test with the Arden team back in February. This weekend is the fourth event in the British F4 Championship and the Red Bull Junior is ready for action.

"The weather is really nice now and I'm having a great time in England. We had a really good two day test at Croft this week and though it was my first time there the Arden guys gave me a great car, it went well and we were towards the front on both days," enthused Leeds who was 2nd on Tuesday and 5th on Wednesday.

A lot to learn

"At that early Oulton test it was freezing and it was a bit of a culture shock so while I know which way the track goes there is still a lot to learn and I have to go out and make good use of those practice sessions on Friday so we can do the job in qualifying," he added with his usual broad grin.

The Victorian has already had his first race win, in Race 2 at Thruxton but that weekend was not all it could have been. "No we've got to make sure we do a better job in qualifying and I've been watching Oulton videos and it is very hard to pass so the grid will be even more crucial."

Right balance

"We've got to get back to the consistency we had in the early rounds and we know we can do that. I needed to get a bit more aggression into my driving at times and I think we found the right balance at Thruxton where we turned what was looking to be a pretty bad weekend into something good so we have to carry that through this weekend."

"We've got to go out there from the start and tick all the boxes, grab the lead in the points and carry on from there," concluded Leeds who was demoted from 7th to 8th post Race 3 at Thruxton and thus lost 2 championship points and the joint title lead. He now trails Sennan Fielding by those 2 points.
