#26 Luis Leeds (AUS – Arden Mygale-Ford)
British Formula 4: 2nd – 227 points – after 21 of 30 races

Luis Leeds

Luis Leeds jumped from fifth to second in the British Formula 4 championship with a brilliant weekend last time out in Knockhill. The 16-year-old Australian proved two things: One; he is a major title contender and Two; it is very close at the top of the points table.

“I think that there are eight of us in the hunt for the title,” enthused the Red Bull Junior looking forward to the three races at Rockingham this weekend. “It seems to get more intense every weekend and I think this one will be the toughest so far.”

Circuit knowledge
“We’ve been testing there earlier in the year with the other teams so we know we should be competitive and its interesting to go somewhere different. You only run on a quarter of the oval, one corner and it’s pretty well banked, I’ve seen people go pretty crazy through there but it’s something to add to my cv, to say that I have driven on an oval,” jokes the Victorian.

“Of course it is completely different to Knockhill, it’s a longer, flowing sort of track with a very abrasive surface. It’s also got a long straight so you have the chance to think about things. I know that the Arden guys have all the data and will give me a great car as always.”

Racing certainty
“As I said, we know we can do it, we also know that the other guys are also very good and we can’t afford any mistakes. We are going there with the same attitude as always, work hard and do everything the way we know it’s got to be done.”
